    Appraisal Information

As a non-profit, state-affiliated institution, we are not able to provide appraisals for art objects. To find information on individuals or companies near you who perform appraisals, your best option is to contact a local art or history museum.

Any of the following organizations may also be helpful:

    Appraisers Association of America
    386 Park Avenue South
    New York NY 10016 US
    Phone: 212-889-5404
    Fax: 212-889-5503
    Website: http://www.appraisersassoc.org/

    American Society of Appraisers
    Website: http://www.appraisers.org/

The American Association of Museums online database of companies and consultants serving the museum industry, available on the web at http://www.aam-us.org/mmo/

To locate art appraisers outside of North America, check the CINOA (Confederation Internationale des Negociants en Oeuvres D'Art) website at http://www.cinoa.org

An art library may also be helpful for auction prices. Check for other works by this artist in Mayer, an annual two-volume publication that lists works of art that have been sold at auction internationally. The Art Newspaper printed a list of auction sites in its April 2000 issue, and the AskART.com website also has auction records and references, available at http://www.askart.com/

Thank you for your interest in our collections, and good luck with your search.
