    Art Partners

Art Partners Outreach Program is a new initiative implemented during the 2006/2007 academic year, the first since the main Museum facility was closed for construction. UMMA staff and docents, in partnership with eight area schools—Symons School in Milan, Pierce Lake Elementary in Chelsea, Wylie School in Dexter, and Allen, Angell, Burns Park, Lawton, and Wines schools in Ann Arbor—created an exciting menu of programs for elementary and secondary schools. The presentations, which feature high-resolution digital images of works of art from the Museum’s collection, are grouped into thematic topics and are available for a variety of grade levels. Another series of presentations for secondary school-aged students is available this year, designed to be a spark fruitful classroom discussions across a broad range of social, literary, and historical issues.
