Class Visits

Guided tours by our well-trained docent corps may be arranged for UM class groups at UMMA Off/Site. Alternatively, faculty members may lead their own classes on a self-guided tour or may arrange for Education Department staff or UMMA curators to lead special interest tours.

When planning to bring a class for a tour of our special exhibitions, even if you will be a self-guided group, please contact Debbie Swartz. This allows us to provide the best experience for all visitors. Some tours can be scheduled before public hours, which will enhance the class experience.

Note to instructors: When working in the gallery, visitors will be provided with pencils, clipboards, and stools. For the safety of the artwork, only pencils are allowed in the gallery and backpacks and large bags may be checked with Museum guards.
