No Photography iconShare your photos on social media using #ummamuseum, and look for our special exhibition hashtags throughout the Museum..

In some galleries, including certain temporary exhibitions, photography is not permitted. Look for posted signage indicating galleries or individual works (identified by the “no photography” icon at right) that cannot be photographed.

Restrictions

Flash photography, video, tripods, and selfie sticks are never permitted.

Non-Commercial Use

Photographs may not be sold, published, or used for commercial purposes, including licensing.

Commercial/Professional Photography

Commercial photography, such as for weddings, portraits, and organizations, is allowed under the General Guidelines (top) in this policy, with special attention paid to restricted works and galleries, safety of art on display, and equipment use (tripods, etc.).

Commercial photographers are encouraged to inform UMMA's Communications Manager and Facility Manager (see UMMA's staff directory) of the dates/times and Museum locations in which they wish to photograph one week in advance of scheduling commercial photography sessions inside the Museum to ensure accessibility.
